Membership Models
Railsponsible is a sector initiative focused on sustainable procurement, with the aim to continuously improve sustainability practices throughout the supply chain of the railway sector. The initiative is open to all railway operators and companies across the railway sector value chain, along with key sector associations, that share its vision, mission and commitments. There are two membership types available.
Full membership
The full membership is open to all companies across the railway sector’s supply chain – from operators to OEMs and suppliers.
Full members benefit from:
- Access to sustainability assessment- and auditing results from all members
- Unlimited access to tools and standards developed within Railsponsible Working Groups
- Access to pool of best practices and sustainability solutions
- Full access to the SUSTAINX sustainability expert community
- Full voting rights on Railsponsible’s strategic roadmap.
Upon joining Railsponsible full members commit to a number of terms and conditions, including:
- Public endorsement of Railsponsible’s vision and mission
- Participation in and contribution to Railsponsible’s activities
- Participation in Railsponsible’s “General Assembly”
- Active participation in Railsponsible Working Groups
- Provision of information for KPI tracking and external reporting.
Associate Membership
The associate membership is open to small and medium-sized companies across the railway sector’s supply chain – from operators to OEMs and suppliers.
Associate members benefit from:
- Access to sustainability assessment- and auditing results from all members
- Unlimited access to tools and standards developed within Railsponsible Working Groups
- Access to pool of best practices and sustainability solutions
- Full access to the SUSTAINX sustainability expert community
Associate Members can participate and contribute to the collective action of Railsponsible through:
- Aligning on sustainability strategy and creating synergies
- Hosting / attending all Railsponsible events / workshops / annual meetings
- Providing access and facilitating Railsponsible engagement and dialogue with their own networks
- Supporting Railsponsible communication and other type of direct and indirect engagement that can give Railsponsible visibility and legitimacy within the railway sector and sustainability “ecosystem”.
